About the brand Fisherman out of Ireland
Fisherman Out of Ireland, founded by the renowned Blarney Woollen Mills in 1991, breathes the rich heritage of Irish knitwear. As a close-knit team of 43, they have been leading the way in design-led Irish knitwear for 30 years, with many of them contributing to the creation of Fisherman for over 25 years.
From the first stitch to the last press, every piece in our men’s and women’s collection is created in their knitting factory in Kilcar, County Donegal. Steeped in textile tradition and surrounded by the Derryveagh Mountains and the wild Atlantic Ocean, this small village provides the perfect backdrop. Inspiration for new yarns, colours and styles is drawn from this breathtaking landscape and the local fishing communities.
Although we seem to be on the edge of Europe, in the middle of 'no man's land', our contemporary sweaters with 100% natural fibres find their way to all corners of the world.
Mixed Yarn: Art and Character
Fisherman Out of Ireland distinguishes itself through the use of high-quality melange yarns. Each garment carries the signature of deeply considered colour combinations and complex textures, making them not only comfortable but also with an artistic depth. The melange yarn is not only a choice for quality, but also a tribute to the unpredictable nuances of the sea.
